Motion Picture, Television, Stage and Radio Deaprtment
Motion picture, television, stage and radio rights for our Authors’ works are handled by Evva Pryor and Ian Polonsky, whose mandate is to ensure that every book has a fair chance at reaching an audience in additional media, as well as to seek new talent to add to our roster.

Our most recent successes include: P.T. Anderson’s adaptation of the Upton Sinclair novel OIL! as THERE WILL BE BLOOD, nominated for eight Academy Awards including wins for Best Actor (Daniel Day Lewis) and Best Cinematography (Robert Elswit); Lakeshore Entertainment and MGM release of Annette Curtis Klause’s BLOOD & CHOCOLATE; new operatic stage adaptations of John Steinbeck’s THE GRAPES OF WRATH and Sinclair Lewis’ ELMER GANTRY each opened to rave reviews (including a New York Times Arts Weekend cover story for ELMER GANTRY), with performances scheduled throughout the country over the next several years; and Elizabeth Spencer’s LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA, winner of six Tony awards, continues to enjoy a national theatrical tour.

Previous projects include the theatrical motion pictures CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN, AMISTAD, INDIAN IN THE CUPBOARD, and OF MICE AND MEN, numerous television movies, Broadway and regional productions, such as the Tony award winning GRAPES OF WRATH, OF MICE AND MEN, ISLAND OF THE BLUE DOLPHINS, THE SILVER KISS, and over a hundred worldwide community, traveling and amateur productions per year.
